MediCampus Europeo is proud to introduce Beyond the Prize, a new medical lecture series in Malta created to bring Nobel Prize laureates, internationally recognised clinicians, and leading medical minds into direct dialogue with our academic community.
Through Beyond the Prize, students, faculty members, and invited guests will have the opportunity to hear from distinguished scientists and clinicians whose discoveries, research, and clinical contributions have helped shape modern medicine.
This lecture series reflects MediCampus Europeo’s commitment to offering students more than a traditional medical education by creating opportunities to engage with world-leading voices in biomedical science, clinical practice, and medical innovation.

Gregg L. Semenza, MD, PhD
Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine (2019)
Professor Semenza is internationally recognised for his groundbreaking work on cellular response to oxygen availability (HIF-1), with major implications in oncology and cardiovascular research.
